Workshop organized by EUSAIR Pillar 3 (Environmental Quality) and INTERACT: “The opportunities of Green Deal for macro-regions”

The European Green Deal is the new growth strategy that aims to transform the EU into a fair and prosperous society, with a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy. All four existing Macro-Regional Strategies (hereafter: MRS) are addressing environmental challenges assuring cooperation to deal with challenges linked to specific area.

Relevant stakeholders will kick off the debate on how to best use the framework provided by MRS to achieve objectives and ambitions set by the European Green Deal, with particular focus on preserving and restoring ecosystems and biodiversity and transforming to a clean and circular economy. The participants will explore which experiences, practises and approaches could be applied.
