“Digitalising the Road Last Mile for Ports and Multimodal Freight Terminals- Data Sharing and Interoperability for Efficient Freight Flows”

On 25 March 2026, Trieste will host the joint event “Digitalising the Road Last Mile for Ports and Multimodal Freight Terminals. Data sharing and interoperability for efficient freight flows”, organised by the Port Network Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea in cooperation with the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Interporto di Trieste, and held under the auspices of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR).

The event will bring together representatives of ports, multimodal freight terminals, road infrastructure managers, public authorities and policy makers to address one of the key challenges for the Adriatic–Ionian macro-region: improving the efficiency, reliability and sustainability of road freight flows at strategic logistics nodes connected to the TEN-T network.
