Registration are open for the Mediterranean Coast and Macro-regional Strategies Week 2025!
We are delighted to announce that registrations are now open for the 10th Anniversary edition of the Mediterranean Coast and Macro-Regional Strategies Week, taking place from 15 to 17 September 2025 in the picturesque coastal town of Izola, Slovenia.
This milestone event celebrates a decade of progress since the first Mediterranean Coast Day and brings together representatives from all four EU macro-regional strategies, along with key stakeholders and partners. Over the years, this gathering has become a dynamic platform for promoting cooperation, sharing innovative ideas, and driving forward sustainable solutions for the Mediterranean region.
This year’s edition will delve into key topics such as reflections on the post-2027 Cohesion Policy and advancing climate resilience. Expect vibrant exchanges, interactive sessions, and meaningful collaboration among policymakers, experts, civil society, and citizens across all levels — local, regional, national, and international.
Held in the week leading up to Mediterranean Coast Day (September 25th), the event also honors Slovenia’s leadership as the first Mediterranean country to ratify the Protocol on Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) in 2009.
Join us in shaping the next decade of cooperation and sustainability in the Mediterranean!
