Unlocking the future: EU Industry Weeks 2022

Online | 8 - 11 February 2022

EU industrial ecosystems on the path to the green and digital transition

EU Industry Days is Europe’s flagship annual event, highlighting industrial frontrunners and ongoing industrial policy discussions whilst improving the knowledge base of European industry.

It is the main platform to discuss industry challenges and co-develop opportunities and policy responses in an inclusive dialogue with a wide range of stakeholders.

The 2022 edition will take place in hybrid format in Brussels between 8 - 11 February 2022, and it will stimulate discussions across industrial ecosystems on their green and digital transition, in support of strengthening the resilience of EU companies (including SMEs).

It will also hold discussions on how the young generation can shape the future of EU industry, in line with the European Commission proposal to make 2022 the European Year of Youth. Some of these discussions will be held in the context of a Special Youth Programme, which will place the focus of the event on some of the most urgent concerns for young Europeans today: social equality, youth unemployment and precarious work, and the urgent call for sustainable and socially responsible business models.

Based on last year's fruitfull discussions, an online spotlight session on Tourism is organised as well on 8 February where European Commission will present the Transition Pathway for tourism. The session will also be an occasion to discuss the next phase: co-implementation of the transition. Take a look below at the draft programme of the Tourism Spotlight session.

The EU Industry Weeks is a wider framing of the EU Industry Days, bringing the discussion also to the local communities. Local events are taking place across the EU and beyond as part of EU Industry Weeks 2022 until the end of February 2022.

Within the EU Industry Weeks a EUID Pitching contest is being organised for all business ideas supporting the transition to a sustainable, digital and resilient economy. If you would like to showcase your innovative idea, apply here before 18 January 2022.
