Three Seas Initiative

Ljubljana, Slovenia | 5 - 6 June 2019

The Three Seas Initiative is a political platform at Presidential level, launched in 2015. The Initiative includes the 12 EU Member States located between the Adriatic, the Baltic and the Black seas: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. Up until today, three summits took place: Dubrovnik Summit in 2016, Warsaw Summit in 2017 and Bucharest Summit in 2018.

The 2019 summit will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 5-6 June 2019.

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, H.E. Mr Borut Pahor, will be the host of the 2019 Summit. The Three Seas Initiative Business Forum will be hosted by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, H.E. Mr Marjan Šarec.

On the 6th of June 2019, the EU Macro-regional Strategies Breakfast will be organized as a side event. The organizer of the EU Macro-regional Breakfast is the Government Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Development and European Cohesion, through the Facility Point Plus project. The Government Office was entrusted with the implementation of the Facility Point Plus Project, set up to i) support macro-regional projects and ii) build capacity for EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region  and has received funding from the European Union.

The macro-regional breakfasts will be organized in close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and  Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia.
