ICT strategies and solutions for port-hinterland integration in the Adriatic and Ionian region: State of the art & future perspectives

In the framework of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) Workplan  Plan 2025 of  Pillar 2 on Transport, the conference “ICT strategies and solutions for port-hinterland integration in the Adriatic and Ionian region: State of the art & future perspectives” will take place on 2 October 2025, from 9:30 to 14:00, at the North Central Adriatic Sea Port Authority (ADSP MACS) -  Port Authority of Ravenna  (Via Antico Squero, 31 – ground floor Conference Room) in hybrid format.

This initiative aligns with the themes of the EUSAIR Flagship of Pillar 2 on Transport “Adriatic-Ionian green-smart port hub concepts”, and has the objective to foster discussion on how digital solutions can improve the management of rail operations and enhance the efficiency of interconnections between inland and port terminals, stimulating dialogue across the EUSAIR port system in the Adriatic-Ionian basin. The event is the occasion to  discuss the achievements of the Interreg Italy-Croatia Project “CROSSFREIGHT” for the enhancing rail shunting operations managements.

The conference is jointly organised by the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Institute of Transport and Logistics Foundation (ITL) and the North Central Adriatic Sea Port Authority (ADSP MACS), with the support of the EUSAIR  Facility Point PP6 -  Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.
