Event registration – Terms and Conditions

Event Application and Admission Processes

By registering for this event the parties concerned agree that the event organisers may use their personal information to:

  • process your your registration at the event. The organisers may also share this information with the external service providers to facilitate your attendance at the event,
  • provide you with information regarding the event, including accommodation, scheduling and logistics,
  • provide you with other information related to the EUSAIR that we believe may be of interest to event attendees,
  • we may also share personal information of event attendees with the other persons attending the same event. The purpose of this is to enable event attendees to contact each other for networking purposes.

If you do not want your details to be used in this way, please contact the event organizers by letter or email to confirm this.

Cancellation of Registration

Cancellation of registration must be submitted via email to the address provided in the confirmation letter and is valid only with acknowledgement of receipt by the event organizers.

Usage of Photographic and Video Material

For promotional purposes, photos and video recordings will be taken during the event. In registering for an EUSAIR event you acknowledge that we may include images of yourself intact or in part for material used in various publications, press releases, promotional activities, or other related endeavors. This material may also appear on the EUSAIR internet web page or related social media pages.

Delegates who do not wish to be filmed or recorded should advise the event organisers in writing prior to the event.

Usage of Social Media

Usage of social media by participants is welcomed and encouraged. The accepted social media etiquette is requested to be followed:

Do

  • use the event-specific hashtag as communicated during the event for any related tweets,
  • tweet about the event, or specific sessions of the event, including quoting the speakers, but remember that unpublished information or scientific data presented at the event should be regarded as confidential, and should not be published,
  • be respectful in tone and content,
  • mute your cellphone/laptop/tablet volume to avoid disrupting sessions.

Don’t

  • redistribute unpublished findings presented at the event – this may preclude subsequent publication of the data in a scholarly journal,
  • use offensive language in your posts,
  • engage in rudeness or personal attacks.­­­­­
