High-level platform for dialogue on the future of transport connectivity in the Adriatic-Ionian Region

We are pleased to invite you to the thematic event of EUSAIR Pillar 2 “Connecting the Region” (Transport) entitled: Bridging Sustainable Transport Planning and Infrastructure Development in the Adriatic-Ionian Region.
The event is organized within the framework of the Italian Presidency of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) 2026-2027 and coordinated by Pillar 2 on Transport, in collaboration with the Italian Facility Point Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region.
The initiative will provide a high-level platform for discussing the future of transport connectivity across the Adriatic-Ionian Region, bringing together representatives of the European Commission, national and regional authorities and other relevant stakeholders to discuss the future development of transport connectivity and infrastructure in the Adriatic-Ionian Region. The event will feature interventions of the Coordinators of the Baltic Sea-Adriatic Sea European Transport Corridor, the Western Balkans-Eastern Mediterranean European Transport Corridor and the European Maritime Space, providing valuable insights into the future of European transport networks and connectivity.
Discussion will focus on the link between the EUSAIR Masterplan of Transport and the European Transport Corridors plans with an eye on priorities and future perspectives for financing sustainable infrastructure to improve territorial cohesion across the macro-region.
