EUSAIR investment in skills and education

A strong social Adriatic and Ionian Region, the functional area defined by the Adriatic and Ionian Sea basins and home to more than 70 million people living in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia, is the basis not only of its citizens’ prosperity and well-being but also for a competitive economy. Skilled innovative workforce capable of shaping and adapting to the EU Green Deal and the Western Balkans Green Agenda will be the key to guaranteeing accessibility to the labour market and future society.
 
In the framework of the EU strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region-EUSAIR and more specifically of the  Pillar 1. “Blue Growth” implementation, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region, in partnership with the European Commission and the EUSAIR governance actors, is pleased to invite You to the workshop aimed at analysing the new blue education and training needs arising from the twin green and digital transitions in the Region, with the purpose of defining possible common paths on a macroregional scale. The focus will be on both the main fields represented by sustainable ship and boat building and sustainable port operations.
 
EUSAIR Policy-makers including European Social Fund - ESF and European Maritime and Fisheries Fund - EMFF Managing Authorities of EU Countries, National/Regional Authorities responsible for the education and training policies, academia, higher technical institutes, VET providers, research and innovation bodies, businesses are expected to join the event.
 
·         The workshop will be held online on July 9th 2021 from 9:30 to 12:30 (CEST)
·         Simultaneous translation into Italian language will be provided
·         There will be opportunities to raise questions and express views
·         The registration form and further details will be circulated in the coming days
