Thematic Pillar Improved Social Cohesion of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) published a study on skills in the region.

As part of the Strategy’s efforts to strengthen cooperation and promote coordinated development among participating countries, a study on skills development was conducted across ten EUSAIR countries.

The study aimed to analyse skills development and key labour market trends that contribute to the region’s competitiveness and sustainable growth. The research covered Croatia, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and San Marino.

Particular focus was placed on skills gaps, challenges linked to the digital and green transitions, and examples of good practice, together with recommendations for strengthening regional cooperation. The publication also offers insights into labour market needs and skills development across the Strategy’s thematic areas.
