Thematic Workshop on the EUSAIR Master Plan on Energy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region: Energy Outlook, Priorities and Prospects
Trieste, Italy | 27th November 2025Within the framework of the activities of the Thematic Steering Group 2 (TSG2) on Energy of the EUSAIR Pillar 2 "Connecting the Region", we are pleased to invite you to the "Thematic Workshop on the EUSAIR Master Plan on Energy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region: Energy Outlook, Priorities and Prospects”.
The event will take place on 27 November 2025 from 14:30 to 18:00 p.m. in hybrid format – in Trieste at the premises of the Presidency of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Sala Predonzani – Piazza Unità d’Italia 1) with entrance from via dell’Orologio 1, and online through the EUSAIR Stakeholder Platform.
Organized with the support of the EUSAIR Facility Point (PP6) Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Workshop will discuss the main features of the new Master Plan on Energy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region, its objectives, priorities, options and open issues.
Building on the results of the EUSAIR Master Plan on Energy Networks completed in 2023, the new Master Plan embraces a broader spectrum of challenges in line with the European Green Deal, addressing the need for secure, affordable, and clean energy while fostering regional cooperation.
The finalisation of the Master Plan on Energy is expected by Spring 2027.
Through keynote speeches and round tables, the event will bring together representatives from governments, regulators, operators, stakeholders and communities, which will have the opportunity to share their perspectives, contribute with ideas and shape the future of energy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region.
The ultimate goal is to strengthen cross-border connections, create a truly integrated regional market, and support the transition towards a green, resilient, and competitive energy system by 2035 and 2050.
