The EUSAIR Thematic Event of Pillar 4 (Sustainable Tourism) and Pillar 5 (Improved Social Cohesion), entitled “Skills for Sustainable and Inclusive Tourism in the Adriatic and Ionian Region”, will take place on 5–6 November 2026 in Split, Croatia.
The event will bring together policymakers, education and training providers, businesses, social enterprises and other stakeholders to discuss how skills development can support a more sustainable, innovative and inclusive tourism sector across the Adriatic and Ionian Region.
Participants will explore the EU framework for tourism skills development, future skills needs in the tourism sector, the role of Regional Competence Centres, and approaches to strengthening social inclusion through tourism. The programme will also feature study visits and presentations of good practice examples from across the region.
The event aims to foster cooperation among key stakeholders and contribute to building a skilled workforce, promoting equal opportunities, and supporting innovative solutions for sustainable tourism development in the EUSAIR area.
