The European Commission (EC) technical dialogue and the EUI Policy Lab event, organised by the European Urban Initiative (EUI), will take place in Rome (IT) on 16 & 17 June 2026. The events will bring together urban practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders from across Europe.
The EUI Policy Lab event is a knowledge-building and exchange event focused on the New European Bauhaus – a cross-sectoral initiative connecting the European Green Deal with everyday urban life – by addressing the following key areas:
Identifying the key challenges cities face in embedding NEB principles into policies, projects, and governance frameworks.m
Reconnecting cities with nature through climate adaptation measures, enhancing biodiversity, and implementing nature-based solutions.
Strengthening the sense of belonging by linking cultural, social, and natural assets to foster cohesive and vibrant communities.
Prioritising inclusivity to ensure that urban transformations benefit all citizens.
Renewing industrial ecosystems through circular, sustainable, and innovative economic models supported by digital tools.
