The idea of developing an integrated cycling route running along the Adriatic and Ionian coast is now an EUSAIR flagship project ready to start. The ADRIONCYCLETOUR is not just a cycling route that connects all the coast – it creates connections with the hinterland areas and capital cities, involving also the participating countries that do not face the sea basin. The ambition of the ADRIONCYCLETOUR is to create a pleasant transnational cycle route that is connected also with other means of transport for your return. It promotes historical, artistic, cultural, and naturalistic heritage of the region and develops the new trend of eco-tourism.
WHY?
Because it offers us to move from one place to another in a sustainable way, changing our lifestyle with ease and embracing better health for ourselves and our region. We ought to perserve our environment to maintain the biodiversity, which is one of the highest in Europe, as well as to follow Green Deal goals and acting responsible towards our EUSAIR youth’s future! And last, but not least…because there is nothing more rewarding than escaping the noisy and stressful everyday life as is the feeling of the Adriatic-Ionian breeze, while enjoying in quiet and picturesque views, may it be in our forested mountains or at the wide open sea, inviting you to dive into it after reaching your destination for the day!
